Abstract

This article provides a scientific analysis of the role and importance of soft skills in the development of human capital in the 21st century. It substantiates that in the context of globalization and digital transformation, soft skills are a key factor determining an individual’s professional and social effectiveness. The essence of soft skills and the features of their formation in the educational process are examined. Based on international research, their role in the labor market and impact on professional success are justified. The processes of developing soft skills among students and their implementation in practice are also discussed, along with the necessity of transitioning from traditional education to a competency-based approach.
