EFFECT OF SALINITY STRESS ON THE PROCESS OF LIPID PEROXIDA- TION IN PLANTS
Abstract
This study examines the impact of salinity stress on the antioxi- dant system of the cotton plant. The toxic effects of excessive Na+ and Cl- ions lead to the changes in the amount of malondialdehyde, the final product of lipid peroxida- tion. These changes were determined using a spectrophotometric method.Keywords
