Abstract

This article highlights the scientific novelties, research findings, and conclusions of the PhD dissertation entitled “Improving the Methodology of Teaching Aimed at Developing English Language Learning Motivation among Students of Non-Philological Educational Programmes.” In particular, special attention is paid to the scientific-theoretical and practical foundations of a professional-integrative methodological approach aimed at developing English language learning motivation among students of non-philological educational programmes, specifically Tourism and Economics. The research findings show that linking the content of English language teaching with students’ future professional activities, as well as the integrated use of ESP, CLIL, case study, project-based learning, role plays, digital platforms, and reflective assessment, contributes to the development of the cognitive, affective, and behavioural components of learning motivation. The article scientifically generalizes the effectiveness of the developed methodology based on the results of experimental work conducted with the participation of 524 students.
