Abstract
This article examines the approaches of Eastern and Western psy- cholinguists to the study of cognitive linguistics. It examines the nature of cognitive linguistics and its function, as well as important aspects of language that are inextri- cably linked to the psychology of language. The relevance of the approaches to the research conducted by scientists to this day is also discussed .Keywords
